IHE-UK’s purpose is to increase the deployment of IHE profiles within UK healthcare. IHE UK works with professional organisations such as the British Institute of Radiology, Royal College of Radiologists and the British Computer Society, as well as standards organisations such as HL7, PROREC and OASIS. Although IHE is not operational in Ireland, IHE-UK leaders maintain strong links with the organisers of the Health Informatics Society of Ireland(HISI) and PROREC. IHE-UK limited was established in 2008.
